About me
Hey, I’m Jen! I'm a therapist with a unique background. Five years in marine biology and a postgraduate degree in Evolution and Behaviour, then even some time working for the police. My work has taken me around the world, from medical labs to offshore oil & gas research vessels, to the heart of the Amazon Rainforest.
Outside of work I enjoy board games, yoga, Taylor Swift, travelling, anime, and trying new things. You might also find me baking, roller skating, diving into true crime, or watching zombie films while snuggling under three blankets… wishing it was Autumn or wondering how early I can put my Christmas tree up.
I truly believe that investing in your mental health is the best thing you can do for yourself. Start your journey today and see how it transforms your life!
Why I became a therapist:
I’ve been there. Due to eczema and steroid withdrawal, I’ve spent months unable to move off the sofa. I suffered with anxiety and depression. I’ve had panic attacks going outside or trying to shower.
After suffering mental and physical health issues, I tried various types of therapy. I finally came across solution focused hypnotherapy.
I became not only my old self, but even better. I had 6 sessions and haven’t had a panic attack since. I loved my hypnotherapist and our sessions together, so I decided to be that for someone else. It’s the most rewarding job I could have hoped for and it’s an honour to be people’s cheerleader when they need it the most.
